According to the latest decision issued by the United States Trade Representative (USTR), the U.S government will impose an additional tariff of 12.5% under Section 301 on goods imported from Vietnam starting 24th July 2026. However, cashew kernel is included in the list of goods exempt from this additional tariff.

According to the latest decision issued by the United States Trade Representative (USTR), the U.S government will impose an additional tariff of 12.5% under Section 301 on goods imported from Vietnam starting 24th July 2026. However, cashew kernel is included in the list of goods exempt from this additional tariff.
There are scattered buying demands in cashew kernels for nearby shipment, but the export market still seems to have not recorded successful transactions.
Some factories have adjusted their offers down by 3-5 cents/lb, the sharpest decline has been seen in big size cashew kernels - WW180. Currently, the price of this grade has decreased by 10-20 cents/lb compared to the first half of July.
The price of Ogbomosho raw nuts is fluctuating around $1,540/ton, 49lbs outturn and 175 nuts. In addition, IVC raw materials in bonded warehouses are still being offered in large quantities on the market, the prices are fluctuating from 1,200 to 1,410 USD/ton, with outturns of only 37-42lbs , 188-220 nuts.
