The cashew market remains deeply sluggish. It seems that all buyers have left the market since the beginning of June while the number of cashew nuts offers for the third and fourth quarters is increasing.

The cashew market remains deeply sluggish. It seems that all buyers have left the market since the beginning of June while the number of cashew nuts offers for the third and fourth quarters is increasing.
WS and LP are becoming increasingly scarce and their prices are also increasing. Meanwhile, the oversupply of W240 is still continuing. Warehouses are brimful of WW240 cashew nut due to lack of buyers.
Currently, WW320 cashew nut is the best selling grade however, its price is also decreasing. The average price of WW320 fluctuates around $3.15/lb.
Currently, Chinese buyers only buy fresh cashew kernels with the skin (mainly big size nuts, 180 nuts/lb) instead of buying Salted roasted cashew kernels from Vietnam as before. Then they will process it themselves in China to avoid paying taxes if they import processed cashew kernels.
