The first half of 2025 is coming to end. This is a really difficult time for the Vietnamese cashew industry in the past five years. The market prospect in the first 6 months of the year is very gloomy. Most factories are only operating at a low level due to weak purchasing power.
In the domestic market, many small processing facilities have temporarily stopped production and closed however, domestic cashew nut prices are still on downward trend. Currently, the trading price of WW320 from $2.90 - $2.95/lb.
Similar to cashew kernel prices, raw material prices are also decreasing day by day. The price of Vietnamese raw materials is fluctuating around 1,500 USD/ton, 50lbs outturn, 170-180 nuts. However, almost no one is interested in buying more raw materials when the export cashew nut market is very gloomy.
The price of cashew shell has increased again as many factories cut down production. Currently, its price is fluctuating around 150 USD/ton.
