The export market still sinks into a deep sleep. The number of buyers and sellers in the market is also decreasing. As every year, July is usually the low season for cashew nut trading.
Currently, some medium BRC packers are offering WW320 at 3.10 usd/lb. Meanwhile, the price of WW320 from good BRC packers still fluctuates from 3.15 to 3.20 usd/lb.
The price gap between top and good factories has narrowed significantly. Currently, the gap is only 5-10 cents/lb instead of 20 cents/lb as before.
Big trading companies are collecting domestic cashew nuts. WW320 was traded from 2.82 - 2.85 usd/lb, depending on quality.
Cashew shell price continues to increase by about 10 USD/ton compared to last week. Currently, cashew shell is being traded around 160 USD/ton. Some processors are happy because they can earn small profit from selling cashew shells to cover costs when the cashew kernel market is sluggish.
