Trading activities of export market is very weak. Scattered a few buyers are looking to buy cashew nuts for short-term demand.
Cashew nut prices are still maintained. The price of WW320 is fluctuating from $3.15- $3.20/lb.
This year, the nut size of global raw materials is larger than every year. According to some processors, the rate of WW240 cashew nuts accounts for 30% - 40%. Meanwhile, WS is still a scarce grade, so its price is pushed up. The reasons for the scarcity of WS can be included as follows:
1. The quality of raw materials this year is good therefore, the rate of naturally broken nuts is very low.
2. Improvements in processing technology.
Exporters said that purchasing power of US customers has decreased significantly in the first half of 2025. The 20% tax will be a major obstacle to increasing purchasing power of US buyers in the last months of the year.
News of the US retaliatory tariffs has caused coffee prices on the ICE Futures Europe to fall sharply. Robusta prices fell by about 67 USD/ton to 3,334 USD/ton while domestic coffee prices remained at 3,800 USD/ton.
