Currently, cashew nut purchasing power is still weak even though there are many buyers in the market.
Cashew kernel prices have not stabilized. WW320's price from BRC factories of the same quality fluctuates from 3.10 to 3.20 usd/lb.
There are many raw materials offered, but the price has increased by about 50-100 USD/ton compared to the beginning of last week. Below is the reference of raw materials:
| • Tanzania: | 1,815 – 1,850 usd/ ton, 53-54lbs outturn, 185 nuts |
| • Indonesia: | 1,600 – 1,650 usd/ ton, 50-51lbs outturn, 200-205 nuts |
| • Nigeria: | 1,580 usd/ ton, 48.5lbs outturn, 185 nuts |
| • Burkina: | 1,450 usd/ ton, 46lbs outturn, 190 nuts |
| • Mozambique: | 1,420 usd/ ton, 46lbs outturn, 200 nuts |
| • Ghana: | 1,420 usd/ ton, 45lbs outturn, 200 nuts |
Based on statistics from the General Department of Customs, the import and export data of the Vietnamese cashew industry in October are as follows:
- Vietnam exported about 70,000 tons of cashew nuts (down about 3% compared to September).
- About 180,000 tons of raw materials were imported into Vietnam (down about 34% compared to September).
- Besides, Vietnam also imported about 14,000 cashew nuts with skin from Africa.
The weather in Vietnam is developing abnormally this year. There is continuous heavy rain and accompanied by floods in the northern and central provinces. It is now November, but the rainy season has not ended yet.
