The news that the US announced a list of more than 100 products exempted from tariff since 13 November, including cashew nuts. This information has created chaos in the cashew market.
Currently, offer prices of cashew nuts are very unstable. There is no price difference between big factories and small factories.
Raw material prices are maintained at high levels. Currently, Indonesia & Guinea Bissau raw materials prices are fluctuating around 1,770 USD/ton, 53lbs outturn. There are still a lot of the 2025 Cambodian raw cashew and they continue to be imported into Vietnam.
Some information show that, the 2026 Cambodian new crop has begun. Some cashew gardens are starting to shed leaves and bloom.
This year, the Lunar New Year in Vietnam falls in the second and third weeks of February 2026. The holiday schedule depends on the production plans of each factory. Therefore, many factories do not offer goods for this month at present.
In the first half of November, Vietnam exported about 34,000 tons of cashew nuts and imported about 96,000 tons of raw materials.
