The Lunar New Year holiday is ended. Cashew kernel trading activity is sluggish, similar to the period during the Lunar New Year holiday. There were only a few buying demands for short-term shipment.
The number of cashew kernels offers on the market is not much. The prices of cashew kernels are very confused. Offer prices from factories of the same quality vary by 5-10 cents/ lb.
The domestic market is also quiet because many processing facilities have still not reopened after the Lunar New Year. Currently, people are starting to purchase raw cashew nuts.
In the first half of February, Vietnam exported about 19,200 tons of cashew kernels and imported about 80,800 tons of raw cashew nuts.
